Useful Stuff at UCSB

People emphasize that it’s self-determination and self-effort that allows them to succeed. However, recently, I have learned that it is crucial  to receive as much help as I can. And no one is going to help me unless I ask. There are way too many resources every student can utilize at UC Santa Barbara. So many that I don’t know or remember half of them. Just in case you did not come to the session, some resources include study groups, office hours, friends, Student Resource Building, counselors, etc. The best this is that all these resources are free. I feel like the Student Resource building has help for all kinds of people. It also has nice comfy sofas that I could totally sleep on.
If you do not know how to meet people at UCSB, you’re doing it wrong. This University makes it so easy to meet people whether for social or academic purposes. That is one of my favorite reasons why I love this place. Just in case you don’t know how to meet people, here is a tip, just walk out of your room. Problem solved. Classes, parties, dorm floors, clubs, dining commons, and events are just a few places you can meet a friendly Gaucho. I have met so many amazing people these past few weeks.
People here at UCSB actually care about the students. Today there was a major fair, trying to help students for their academic future. It was great, other than the fact that I could not find a Biology major table or a Letters and Sciences table. I thought there were a ton of Bio majors this year. They had Feminist studies, but did not have Biological major. Wow. But there are infinite ways I can get information about my major. So, no problem.

  1. Wow sung you are a total troll. Do you have something against feminist studies? Are you a misogynist? Naw im kidding with you, but that comment totally cracked me up. You had some great insights about meeting people as well; going outside of your room? Damn that’s pretty deep. Anyways I’m really glad you learned a lot about how our school does not cater to the needs of the biology majors, and how the Student Resource Building has really nice couches. But you did give some other very helpful advice about how to meet people in college. You should be an expert in this type of thing.
